About Dr. Thomas
Dr. Thomas is a Board Certified Forensic Psychologist practicing out of Ames, Iowa. She is Board Certified as a Forensic Psychologist by the American Board of Forensic Psychology and is licensed to practice psychology in Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri. Dr. Thomas provides forensic evaluation and consultation in criminal and civil matters and is available to provide training in a number of areas related to clinical and forensic psychology.
Dr. Thomas received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from West Virginia University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri. After receipt of her doctoral degree, Dr. Thomas spent a year as a Postdoctoral Forensic Fellow at Minnesota State Operated Forensic Services, in St. Peter, Minnesota. As a Postdoctoral Forensic Fellow, Dr. Thomas received specialized training and experience in forensic evaluation. Dr. Thomas is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Buena Vista University and was previously the Clinical Director at a treatment facility for sexual offenders.
